Boy vs Girls Cricket

On Wednesday we went outside to have a game of cricket . First Mr Waite said it is boys vs girls, the first people to bat were me and Joshua O. We statred the game and I got out on the first over and then after I got out Joshua O got out. After I got out someone else batted. At the end Brierley and I were bating and Mr Waite said you need one more run to win and I smashed it far and got two runs.  The boys won  22-21.

Rugby

On Monday my family came to my house to have a game of rugby. First we picked the teams and I was on my dad's team . After we picked the teams we started the game and I picked up the ball and sprinted to the try-line and scored a try. After I scored a try it was half-time. After we had a break my cousin scored  a cool try . After my cousin scored a try their team scored one more try and then it was full-time, we had lost.

Food for Thought

Last week Room 6 went to New World to do some label reading. When we got to New world Nova the nutritionist split us up into five groups. After Nova split us up into five groups we went to our places and we  had to do some label reading. After we had finished the first side of the label sheet we went to the other side. After we had finished the whole sheet Nova handed us a $50 dollar voucher from New World.

Rugby Report

On Saturday the rugby team called Pirates took on Marton at Sringvale Park at 9:00 am. From the very first minute the rugby team called Marton zoomed past the team Pirates and they dived on the tryline and sored their very first try for the game. After Marton kicked the ball to Pirates they scampered to the tryline and made the score 1-1. After Pirates scored their first try Marton charged past Pirates but Pirates tackled  the Marton player and then Pirates charged past Marton and made the score 2-1 to Pirates. Then when Pirates scored an amazing try it was halftime. After halftime Marton was barging over the pirates players but the Marton player got pushed out. After the players got pushed put someone said ''2 more minutes to go''. Pirates scored a amazing try and then it was fulltime, to win the game 3-1.

Wastmere Walkway

On Thursday it was a sunny and bright day and Room 6  and Room 5 and some of  Room 4 went to the Westmere Walkway.  We went to Westmere Walkway to train for camp and Westmere Walkway  is  on  farmland so there  was a lot if mud. The mud on the walkway was slushy and slippery. We started the walk and we climbed over the gate and we started to walk up he hill. After we got up the small  hill we started to follow the white pole. After we got up the hill a little bit more we stopped for morning tea. when we started to eat our morning tea I got up and looked at the trees and they looked like broccoli . After we finished eating our morning tea we walked to the next pole. After we got to the next pole we started to walk down the hill to have lunch. After we finished having lunch  then we started to play. When we started to play I climbed up a small hill and then Mr Waite came up the hill and then we started to push him down the hill and we did. After we pushed him down the hill, I started to play with the water but I fell in it. After I got out of the water we started to build a little bridge and then we had to go. Then we started to walk  up the little hill, we  started to walk past some cows and then we saw a gate  and we could  see Wanganui. After we had finished the walk we hopped on the bus and came back to school.

Who am I ?

Racecourse

On Thursday Room 6 walked to the racecourse. We went there to ride some ponies and watch a horse race. Bret, the manger, talked to us about the jockeys and about the horses. We then went outside to ride some ponies and look at the food the horses eat. Race horses were jumping over big lines of hay and one of the jockeys fell off the horse. Bret  took us back to the celebrity lounge to go back to school.

In Room 6 we are voting to see who will be the Prime Mister in our classroom.
